Dr. Johnson Cheung
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Johnson Cheung is a board-certified specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He attended the University of Western Ontario from 2005-2011 where he obtained a Bachelors and Masters degree in Microbiology & Immunology. He then studied Dentistry at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2015 with distinction.
Afterwards, he began specialist training in the 6-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Dalhousie University. During this time, he also completed his studies in medical school and a Masters thesis focusing on procedural sedation anesthesia and post-operative pain control. After the completion of his residency
program in 2021, Dr. Cheung practiced for two years in New Brunswick before completing a 1-year fellowship program in TMJ surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a focus on minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures and arthroplasties. Afterwards, he decided to move back home to Toronto where he would continue his practice.
Dr. Cheung is interested in providing all facets of care in the realm of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, along with special interests in TMJ procedures, facial trauma, pathology, dentoalveolar/implant surgery, and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Cheung has also published his research in various peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences internationally. He continues to maintain a keen interest in research throughout his career. During his spare time, he enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with his family and his cats.

Dr. Karl Cuddy
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Karl Cuddy was raised in Burlington, and studied at McMaster University where he received his BSc prior to starting professional and graduate studies at Western University and the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his studies in dentistry and medicine, receiving DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) and MD (Doctor of Medicine) degrees. Hospital based residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was completed over 6 years through the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, London Health Sciences Center and St. Joseph’s Healthcare London. Additionally, Dr. Cuddy completed a MSc in Pathology, studying tumour markers in cysts and tumours of the jaws.
Following residency, Dr. Cuddy furthered his training as a fellow in Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery and Trauma through the Head and Neck Institute, Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Portland Providence Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Cuddy works as an Assistant Professor and Director of Education and Maxillofacial Trauma at the University of Toronto with the graduate training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His research interests include the use of technology (ie. computer aided surgery and intraoperative imaging) to improve patient outcomes in orthognathic and craniomaxillofacial reconstructive surgery, including for patients with defects and deformities acquired through trauma, congenital anomalies or tumours of the head and neck. Dr. Cuddy is involved in organized OMF surgery, as a member of the executive committee of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
Away from work Dr. Cuddy enjoys a number of sports, including hockey, tennis, skiing and cycling.
Dr. Olivia Lo
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Olivia Lo grew up in Vancouver, but moved to Ontario where she completed her Bachelor of Sciences degree at Queen’s University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at McGill University in Montreal after which she returned to the west coast and completed a one-year hospital-based General Practice Residency at the University of British Columbia. She subsequently returned to Montreal to pursue her specialty degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at McGill University, which incorporated extensive training in all aspects of the field. Since finishing the program, she has settled in Ontario for her clinical practice where she has a particular interest in implant rehabilitation, trauma, orthognathic surgery and oral pathology. She is also a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto undergraduate dental clinic.

Throughout her training, Dr. Lo also had the opportunity to travel to Haida Gwaii, Vietnam, Cambodia and Mexico to provide care to underserved communities. She is also fluent in English, French and Cantonese. In her spare time, she likes to play volleyball and tennis and true to her West Coast roots, loves enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. Michael Duchnay
Oral Medicine Specialist
Dr. Michael Duchnay is a board-certified specialist in Oral Medicine. He took his clinical training in Oral Medicine at the University of Toronto, and successfully defended his M.Sc. (Oral Medicine) in the fall of 2013. Previously, he completed his undergraduate dental training at McGill University, and holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology from the
University of Toronto. He is a native of southwestern Ontario, having grown up in the town of Brantford.
Dr. Kristina Perschbacher
Oral Medicine Specialist
Dr. K. Perschbacher completed her degrees in Physiology and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. She then completed an internship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario.

Her specialty training in oral pathology and oral medicine was obtained at the University of Toronto, where she also completed her MSc research on biomarker expression in salivary duct carcinoma. Dr. Perschbacher is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentistry of Canada and a member of the Canadian and American Academy of Oral Pathology. She has presented her research at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology meeting in San Diego, California. The majority of Dr. Perschbacher’s time is spent seeing patients in private oral pathology and oral medicine practice. She also teaches in the undergraduate oral pathology and postgraduate oral radiology programs at the University of Toronto. Dr. Perschbacher is an oral examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Zbigniew Wojtasik
Medical Anaesthesiologist
Having trained at the University of Alberta and subsequently at the University of Toronto, Dr. Zbigniew Wojtasik obtained his Certificate of Specialization in Anaesthesiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1998.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wojtasik held various positions of leadership at the Central Hospital in Toronto and the Trillium Health Centre. He currently holds a courtesy appointment with Trillium Health Centre and the University of Toronto Department of Anaesthesia.
Over the years, Dr. Wojtasik took an interest in out of hospital anaesthesia and formed a team of Anaesthesiologists; operating collectively as Surgiservices to provide anaesthesia to a wide base of surgical and dental facilities across Southern Ontario.
Dr. Wojtasik is recognized by his peers as an expert and is a leader in the field of out of hospital anaesthesia.

Dr. Meredith Brownlee
Dr. Meredith Brownlee earned her D.M.D. from University of Manitoba in 2004 and pursued her dental career providing care for northern indigenous people of Manitoba from 2004 to 2011 in numerous isolated communities. After seven years in private practice, Dr. Brownlee undertook her training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at University of Connecticut, obtaining her Master of Dental Science in 2014.
She is the former Division Head of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Brownlee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Catherine Nolet-Lévesque
Dr. Nolet-Lévesque got her dental degree at Université Laval and graduated in 2010. Dr. Nolet-Lévesque completed her general practice residency at McGill University Montreal Children’s Hospital.
She also completed a Master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Toronto, and a fellowship in education at the Women’s College Hospital. Dr. Nolet-Lévesque is also a professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Laval University where she oversees the undergraduate curriculum and participates in teaching various post-graduate programs.
She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentist of Canada and board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR).
